Winx Club - Iginio Explaining The Official Fan Club!

THE WORLD changes, the tv as well. And if until recently the domain of the magic of the Winx that was firmly of the television screen , the web today is to be done under the spell of the fairies who study in Alfea . Simply open YouTube to realize how the market for cartoons produced by Iginio Straffi of Rainbow , the Italian cartoon most viewed and loved in the world, is moving rapidly towards the digital universe . A journey that began in August 2012, as he tells us the same Straffi : " We have contacted YouTube because we realized that the amount of content that was shared and viewed on the website was extraordinarily great , but this content was in any way controlled from us. then we realized not only the possibilities that this instrument offered us , but also the risks to which we were getting into , with a "piracy" spread by fans and enthusiasts, who certainly had no other " engine " that is not the passion for the Winx . And this need for protection was also born a business opportunity
The Winx, in short, have entered the era of digital sharing, and their arrival "official" under the auspices and control of the rainbow, which made use of the tools provided by YouTube, mainly the now "famous "Content ID tool that can provide a sophisticated solution for the protection of copyright on YouTube, showed immediately a great success. "We started to monitor the content that was on line," says Straffi, "making available to users of original and licensed. Audience reaction has been excellent, we have identified all copies uploaded by users, more than forty thousand clips, and we started to work in a different way, drastically reducing the circulation of pirated material. "

The main result was the creation of more than 100 channels, fans who have contributed to the success of "Winx Club" on YouTube, along with an activity of interaction and engagement with fans of the Winx on YouTube (eg graphics kit "Official fans Club "to customize their channel and a pack with toys, gadgets and DVDs, certified" Official Winx Club Fan channel ", etc). In addition to the channels the Rainbow fan then opened official channels, with the highest quality and original content, able to generate traffic and users, channels that are obviously international, in the language of each country to which they are addressed.
Today, the success of "Winx Club" went from over 20 countries, with channels available in 10 languages, which later this year will become 15. And the numbers are staggering: over half a billion views content Winx from August 2012 to the present day and about 19 million hours of video, representing over 2000 years of content, views from fans on YouTube. The future of the Winx therefore is online? "For now, there is no doubt that television still face the lion's share," says Straffi, "without the television revenues would not be possible. But the road is obviously one of the web, with the possibility of a very rapid evolution and the opportunity to make the content more alive. And what is very nice is the interaction with the fans, with whom you can build more and different initiatives, with direct involvement. "
